The Watches and Wonders 2024 event in Geneva unveiled the latest TAG Heuer watches. This prestigious event, renowned for highlighting the epitome of watchmaking, serves as the perfect place for like-minded companies to share their latest creations. Led by TAG Heuer’s CEO Julien Tornare, the brand's newest watches were introduced, blending cutting-edge technology with timeless design. Steeped in a legacy of precision and innovation since 1860, TAG Heuer continues to push the boundaries of timekeeping with their latest watches.
TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph “Panda”
Inspired by the original TAG Heuer Carrera design by Jack Heuer in 1963, this new chronograph pays tribute to the old watch with its recognisable ‘panda look’. The two black counters against the silver dial create the iconic panda design. The ‘Glassbox’ case was unveiled at TAG Heuer Watches and Wonders 2023 and has continued on this newer model. With baton-style hands and Super-LumiNova technology as well as the Glassbox case, this watch offers extreme visibility and functionality with a modern aesthetic. The new dial on this latest TAG Heuer watch however features a shiny silver sunray motif compared to the circular brushed finish seen on earlier models. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph “Panda” also includes a seconds indication at the bottom of the watch with a date window to work with the black counter minutes and hours measurements above. Discover the TAG Heuer ‘Panda’ with, for the first time, a brushed and polished steel bracelet.
TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph
Building on a legacy of precision and innovation, this remarkable timepiece incorporates the split-seconds rattrapante function, a mechanism that has cemented TAG Heuer's reputation in sports timekeeping. "Our aim was to incorporate this mechanism into the TAG Heuer Monaco," - Carole Kasapi, Movements Director at TAG Heuer. "We’ve never reused this split-seconds function, the 'queen of chronograph complications,' in a wristwatch, until now." The TH81-00 mechanical split-seconds chronograph movement, crafted entirely in titanium, stands as the lightest automatic chronograph movement ever created by TAG Heuer. This sophisticated mechanism allows the TAG Heuer Monaco to measure two separate time intervals concurrently, offering unparalleled accuracy and versatility for timing laps on the racetrack or tracking multiple sporting events. Available in blue and red, the TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph allows for both style and function.
TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Skipper
One of the new TAG Heuer watches - the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Skipper, is a timeless homage to sailing and precision, and makes a triumphant return in a stunning 39-millimeter 18ct rose gold case, reminiscent of the “sun setting over the ocean”. This modernised iteration pays tribute to its predecessor from 1967, created to celebrate the New York Yacht Club's win against Australia in the America’s Cup. The original Skipper, with its distinctive sea-blue dial, bright-red chronograph hand, and colourful sub-dials, has been updated. The small seconds now reside at 6 o’clock, while the teal sub-dial at 9 o’clock hosts a twelve-hour counter bearing the Skipper name. Enhanced readability is achieved with triangular markers and red-tipped hands, all viewed through the signature sapphire Glassbox crystal that ensures 100-meter water resistance. Powered by the self-winding, in-house TH20-06 calibre, the new Skipper offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve, making it perfect for a weekend of sailing. This revival blends heritage with modern innovation, making a fantastic watch that can be worn in and out of the water.
TAG Heuer Carrera Date
Last but not least of the new TAG Heuer watches: the TAG Heuer Carrera Date. Jack Heuer designed the first 36 millimetre Carrera in 1963 to be versatile enough to be worn anywhere, anytime. This timeless versatility lives on in the new 36-millimeter ladies’ models of the TAG Heuer Carrera Date. All 3 watches include a date window in the 6 o’clock position, adding an extra level of detail and function to the dial. The first model features a warm copper-toned dial with delicate snailing that captures light beautifully, complemented by rose gold-plated hands, indexes, and the iconic TAG Heuer logo. The stainless-steel case, paired with a rose-gold bezel and a tapered stainless-steel bracelet, makes this timepiece an elegant accessory for any occasion. The second model has a white mother-of-pearl dial and a flange set with 76 diamonds, creating a dazzling, feminine look. The third version replaces the indexes with eleven diamonds, allowing the mother-of-pearl dial to shine even more, framed by a gradient ring transitioning from brown to beige. All models are powered by the in-house, self-winding Calibre 7, offering 56 hours of power reserve.
